HOW WE STARTED

Billy Brown
Owner, Big Easy Ranch
Even though Billy Brown, owner of Big Easy Ranch, is originally from Louisiana, his heart is as big as Texas.
Years ago, Brown was a vibrant healthy man when his world came crashing down after he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. When the word, "cancer" came out of the doctor's mouth, Mr. Brown could not believe what he was hearing. He decided to fight the good fight. Through persistence, education and the wonderful doctors at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Billy proudly overcame prostate cancer!
Since then, Billy created and opened Big Easy Ranch, "A Sporting Club Like No Other" located in Columbus, Texas. In 2018, he decided to give back to the cancer community and help those who saved his life. Thus, the Big Easy Shoot Out was born.
Through The Billy Brown Charitable Foundation, Billy has invited his closest friends, family members and Big Easy Ranch Members to join him in achieving his goal. With a great board of advisors and a heart for fundraising, they have raised $500,000 in the first two years of The Big Easy Ranch Shoot Out.
Combining sporting clay and golf competition, a five star dining experience, live auction and raffle along with honorable guest appearances, this truly is an event "Like No Other".
All proceeds from this fundraising event go directly to The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center - Department of Immunology.
